automotiveMastermind Appoints Two New Key Executives
New positions reinforce positive user experience for dealer partners as company grows
NEW YORK (Mar. 27, 2017) – automotiveMastermind (Mastermind), the leading predictive analytics and marketing automation technology for dealerships and manufacturers, recently hired Scott McKenzie as Vice President of Operations and Strategy and Fred Mather as Chief Commercial Officer. In these roles, McKenzie and Mather will establish a strong, unified voice for the brand and foster increased communication and collaboration across departments to ensure the highest level of care is provided to partners while the company continues its rapid growth.
“As the need for predictive analytics grows, we must continue to grow with it. Bringing in Scott and Fred ensures we will be able to quickly adapt to change, while creating a strong culture that benefits our dealer partners and allows for our continued growth,” said Marco Schnabl, CEO and co-Founder of automotiveMastermind. “A recent study shows that customers visit an average of 1.6 dealers before making their purchase[1]; that underscores the need for using predictive analytics to capture that customer before they leave for another dealership. Our dealer partners have come to expect exceptional results from us and with these hires we are committed to continuing to deliver that to them.”
McKenzie brings five years of private equity investment and operations experience to his new role at Mastermind. He served as Associate Director at JMI Equity, where he has been working closely with Mastermind since its strategic growth investment in the company in 2016. While at JMI Equity, he initially worked in an investing role, sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, and more recently spent time on the Operations team, where he worked with management teams throughout North America to streamline their operations and accelerate company growth.
“My experience in private equity made me better appreciate how uniquely positioned automotiveMastermind is for success. JMI looks at thousands of businesses a year, and automotiveMastermind is one of the best assets we have spent time with during my tenure,” McKenzie said. “There are only a few businesses that get the right product to market at the right time and Mastermind is one of them – it’s easy for dealers to see the hard dollar ROI that the product offers. Our potential for growth is unbounded and I couldn’t be more excited to join the team.”
Mather comes to Mastermind with 25 years of experience in sales and sales management of high-growth companies in both the United Kingdom and the United States. He has direct experience in financial publishing and services, with companies such as Bowne and St. Ives, where he has proven to facilitate rapid growth across the board. Additionally, Mather has extensive experience in the SaaS (software as a service) world, working with IntraLinks before leading the Sales and Publishing teams at Adtech Undertone where he helped build much of their operational go-to-market advertising network.
“I am most excited for taking on the immense opportunity to support positive change in the relationship between leadership in the automotive industry and the customer,” Mather said. “We’re here to realize ROI and help sell more vehicles, and if we can grow and expand the relationship between the dealer, OEM and customer, we have achieved our goal.”
The Mastermind technology empowers dealer sales teams with key insights and valuable information on top prospects. The technology’s proprietary algorithm crunches thousands of data points, combining DMS (dealer management system) information with Big Data - including social media, financial, product and customer lifecycle information to calculate how likely a consumer is to purchase a new vehicle now. The complex data is distilled into one simple number, the Behavior Prediction Score® (BPS), which is a ranking from 0-100. The higher the score, the more likely the customer is to buy. The technology even feeds customer specific talking points and behavior drivers right to the salesperson’s desktop and mobile devices, and can be complemented with customized micro-targeted predictive marketing campaigns that are delivered directly to consumers.
automotiveMastermind has a proven track record of transforming the dealership experience for consumers and revolutionizing the way automotive dealerships and manufacturers, find, engage and earn long-lasting customer relationships.
