Leading jurists, practitioners and e-Discovery experts gather for unique program.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Feb. 25, 2016) – iDiscovery Solutions, Inc. The sessions take place March 1-2 at the Washington, D.C. offices of Sidley Austin. In this pre-trial legal skills program, participants will learn to negotiate effectively with opposing counsel to ensure cost-effective fact finding and avoid unnecessary disputes, in accordance with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) and the rules of professional conduct.
Through use of a litigation hypothetical and mock exercises, attendees will explore practical cooperative strategies to avoid or resolve conflicts that commonly occur in the preservation, collection, production and use of electronically stored information (ESI). They will learn how to conduct meet-and-confers, motion practice and arguments on standard and cutting edge e-Discovery issues in front of current and retired judges. The faculty of veteran trial lawyers, e-Discovery experts, and judges will provide constructive feedback on the attendees’ performance.
Mr. Regard is a nationally recognized electronic evidence and case management expert with more than 20 years’ experience consulting to legal and corporate entities. The program combines Sedona-quality teaching with hands-on practice and review of civil procedure events in an e-Discovery litigation. This should be part of every law firm’s educational roadmap.”
