The first seven companies on the list are tech companies. But its innovation, rather than tech, that makes these companies so intriguing. Companies that break new ground have always attracted employees, and today the biggest innovations are happening in tech.
It’s interesting to note that Apple, once considered at the top when it comes to innovation, was only seventh on the list. Demand for refreshing its product portfolio has caused Apple's brand to suffer this year.
In April, Google replaced Apple as the number one most valuable brand, according to the U.S. 500 2017 report from BrandFinance. Apple’s brand value dropped 27% since early 2016 to $107 billion. Experts say Apple has failed to maintain its technological advantage.
