Panorama examined 470 organizations that implemented one of the leading Tier I ERP vendors in 2016.
Eric Kimberling, founder or Panorama Consulting Solutions, said Microsoft has made a strong push in the small and mid-size market last year. Microsoft Dynamics 365 allows businesses to pay for the solutions they need in a single platform, including financials, sales, operations, marketing and customer service, among others.
Though SAP is the de facto leader in ERP software, it may want to keep an eye on Microsoft. Given that so many companies already use Microsoft products, more may choose Microsoft Dynamic 365 because of the convenience offered by a unified tool and general familiarity with Microsoft products.
